My apologies Debs. It was meant as ironic humour but clearly flew over your head.

And yes I must be racist because another poster (Block I think it was?) said all black managers are shit.

Racism is not good and you're right about that but I don't agree that you need to be a racist to call someone a "f*cking black cunt". There's no need to bring race into a dispute and "f*cking cunt" is enough but that hasn't anything to do with racial prejudice imo.

Maybe they dò speak English but just don't want to speak to you?

Re: Zaha Didn’t Take The Knee
I live in France and love telling the French that -
1) Their petty rules and bureaucracy is killing the country.
2) Their "can't do' attitude stinks when compared to Brit's 'can do' attitude.
3) French is unnecessarily complicated and elitist.
4) English should be their 2nd language of choice and they need to hurry up and learn it rather than me speak French.

They're all racists just because I'm a Brit...

Re: Zaha Didn’t Take The Knee
Different people = differing opinions. Norf explained he believes there is systematic racism or some discrimination in society by some/not all white people. Threesixty on the other hand thinks 50 million plus white people in the UK are members of the KKK and carry out midnight lynchings every 3rd Saturday each month.

One thing that wasn’t answered which I asked more than once, was whether they’d choose a white person or black person if they did a job interview and both went for the job and were as good as each other. I think they know the answer as do I, which would suggest racism or even bias cuts across all races and religions.

Re: Zaha Didn’t Take The Knee
Did you really expect me to buy a book called 'Why I Am No Longer Talking to White People About Race?' I'm interested but not that much...

By the way. I understand why John Terry bringing race into a spat is assumed by black people to be racism. But among the insults was the only accurate reference to skin colour.

Perhaps that's the problem 360. You can't insult me calling me white but I can insult you calling you black.

White British people can be proud of their backgrounds and black people are ashamed of it seems to me to be what the problem is. Is that fair?

Re: Zaha Didn’t Take The Knee
A lot of white managers don’t make it either.
You can see the affect’s of where you choose diversity over ability. Look at the BBC. Diversity before ability and where has that got them, no quality. People are turning off more from the BBC and finding other channels as it’s become unwatchable.

You may have seen the episode of Goals on Sunday, a few years ago, where Sol Campbell was a guest and one subject they spoke about was the lack of black coaches/managers.

Ben Shepherd:"Is one of the reason for so few black managers, that not many apply for thier coaching badges?"
Sol Campell: "It's because they know there is no point"

I remember thinkng, if black ex playeres, who do aspire to be a mangers, have that attitude, they won't make it.
Thankfully, during that period, Chris Powell was trying his hand at managing. Admittedly he wasn't successful, but he always displayed a a good positive attitude whenever interviewed. He never exhibited a victim mentality.
I like to think that, at that time, some ex players were taking more notice of Chris Powell's positivety than Campbell's doo and gloom.

You could also argue that lower League Managers or even Non League Managers never get a chance at a higher level. There are probably plenty of talented managers at these lower levels but when was the last time you saw a manager who did well at non league level be given a chance at a Championship or Premier League Club?

Vexed 6:44 Tue Mar 16
Re: Zaha Didn’t Take The Knee
This argument is such a load of tired old bollocks. Managers get employed because they win games. It just happens that not many black managers win many games.

The Olympic 100 metres final is racist because there are rarely any white folk in it. This argument, although ridiculous probably has more merit than this 'football hates brown people' bollocks. Not everything is a race issue.

Does he?

RUUD GULLIT done alright at Chelsea, I suppose.

Other than that, the majority of the managers who have been in the bigger leagues have all been useless.
